“We are all messy. We are all flawed. But when we allow ourselves to be seen, that is where the magic happens.”
The Person Behind the Process
I’ve always been deeply fascinated by human connection: how we build it, how we lose it, and the immense courage it takes to repair it. My path to becoming a therapist wasn’t just driven by textbooks, but by a fundamental belief that we aren’t meant to figure life out in isolation.
When you sit across from me, you are meeting a partner, not an instructor. I don’t believe that therapy is about me telling you what to do or pretending to have all the answers to your life. Instead, it is a truly collaborative space where you are the expert on your own experiences, and I show up with the warmth, honesty, and support needed to help you figure out the path forward together.
My Foundation & Training
While my approach is guided by warmth and intuition, my practice is grounded in rigorous clinical training. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, which sparked my deep curiosity about human behaviour, and I went on to complete my MSc in Person-Centred Counselling from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland.
Because our relationships shape so much of our joy and our pain, I also pursued specialised postgraduate training, earning a Certification in Couples and Relational Counselling from Relate England. This blend of training allows me to look at you not just as an individual, but as a person navigating a complex web of relationships. Whether I am working with a couple trying to untangle years of miscommunication or an individual trying to break old patterns, my goal is to help you build meaningful, fulfilling connections.
Outside the Therapy Room
Outside of the therapy room, I’m all about embracing life rather than just analysing it. I look at the gym as my favourite place to decompress and shake off the day, but I also love to let loose, go out partying, and lose track of time laughing and catching up with my friends. I am a big advocate for embracing the “messy” parts of being human, and I firmly believe that healing doesn’t happen by being perfect. It happens in the light of being heard, understood, and unapologetically yourself.
"Yashika has seen me regularly for counselling sessions over the course of a year. She has been kind, caring and empathetic as I’ve shared my experiences. She has helped me to address new areas of my life that I had been avoiding and has gently challenged me to help me grow."

"I would highly recommend Yashika as a therapist. She is very perceptive and emotionally intelligent. She is good at understanding things even when I was struggling to explain. She is very calm and helpful, I could share personal things without feeling judged at all."
